More of my work

Here they are...more pictures of my work. I will do a better job in the future of getting more pictures posted. Enjoy!

WOW! It has been way too long!

Well I ahve to say I am not very good atheis blog thing! I have been so busy finishing out the summer and then starting school that I had no idea it had been so long since I had written! UGH! I cna't believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Where has the year gone?

Well I am working hard on getting the word out on my business and getting as many books finished as possible. I will be starting baby Kolby's book shortly after Thanksgiving and can't wait to show you the layouts from that book! A beautiful baby with a professional photographer for an uncle! I can't wait to get my hands on those photos! What fun it will be to play with pinks and browns! With boys of my own it's not that often I get to play with girly colors.

I am in the process of uploading a new slideshow called "More of my work" I will try to post more pictures as I work. Sometimes I get so excited to get teh finished pages into a book that I forget to take pictures of them!

Well gotta get my rascals into bed!

Until next time...

Fabulous Weekend!!!

A layout I made this weekend...
Wow what a fabulous weekend! I just spent Thursday - Sunday in Fort Worth with a great friend! We watched 15, yes 15 Chick - Flicks while Scrapbooking for 3 days! It was a glimpse of Heaven!!! I scrapped 34 single pages and made two of my mini books all in one weekend! There were no children fighting nor teling me they were bored. No one faught or argued over who saw something first! I didn't cook a single meal, or pick up after anyone but myself! It was amazing! I did miss my husband and children, but missing the boys wore off 15 minutes after I got home when Andrew started talking back and 10 minutes after that they were both complaining of boredom!

I love my life, my children and especially my husband, but sometimes a girl needs to get away for awhile!

New pages!

Okay so they are not completely finished! I have to write Ben's Journaling, but I couldn't wait to show you how they turned out! This is the new kit that you can get through Close To My Heart for the month of May only! Don't Wait or you will miss it! There are so many possibilities with both the new "Flip Flaps" and the "Irresistables"!

Your one or two photo, simple layouts can have more than one photo on them without over whelming the page! Or you can have several flip flaps on the page so that you can showcase 9-12 full 4x6 photos on one page! An awesome idea for those occasions that you can't possibly cut back on the number of photos you want on the page. Check out this idea! A customer of mine has all of her father's World War II photos and memorabilia and wanted to show off his own handwritten descriptions on the backs of the photos. What better way to do that! She can slide in the photo and all you have to do is "Flip the Flap" to see the writing on the back! I can't wait to see her finished project!

The irresistables are white chipboard shapes that you ink in what ever color you want. "What is so special about that?" you ask. Everybody has chipboard! Well this chipboard "resists" the ink in certain places so that it leaves white accents on the leaves, flowers and butterflies! The kit also comes with matching Stickease that fit right on top of the chipboard so that you get even more depth and detail!

I love it!!!!!

Wow

I didn't know it had been so long since I have been on!

I finished this album with Michele a couple of weeks ago and wanted to get it posted for everyone to see! I love the way it turned out! We used the Silohouette collection of papers from Close To My Heart and some embellishments and a couple of sheets of paper from Micheals that Michele had picked up. I love the way the Pansy Purple Cardstock popped on top of the black, bamboo and colonial white patterns in the CTMH papers! Michele gave it to her cousin as a Bridal Shower gift, who loved it just as much as we did!

Okay here I am two months later! I have to say that I am not as good at the blog thing as I hoped to be. I have been very busy with work, kids and my crafting. I have created many of my mini chipboard albums and I also took on a project for the school. I created thank you gifts for the School Board members by making a 12x12 page of the kids at our school with of course embellishments and a Deretchin Thanks You title on all 7 of them! It was fun, but I am happy to be back to creating things for my business and family! I have added frames and bookmarks to my list of crafts that I am selling! One of the frames is shown above, it was a special order and when I made this one is when I decided to add them to my list. I love how it came out! The mini book is also a special order for a wonderful friend of mine. I love the colors and the stamp of the Dandelion Puff. It is one of my favorite new stamps!
I promise that I will be on again soon! I can't wait to show you the bookmarks that I am making! Check back soon!
